Refund Policy
How to request a refund
Email marcus@takemantle.com with your reservation ID, included in your confirmation email. We will initiate refunds to your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving your request. Your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may take additional time to post the refund.
When refunds apply
The deposit is fully refundable until Production Confirmation (defined below). Before that point, you may cancel at any time for a full refund.
When production is confirmed, reservation holders will be notified and given the opportunity to either confirm their order or receive a full refund — before any further charges occur.
What is Production Confirmation
"Production Confirmation" means the email notice sent to reservation holders confirming final product specifications, estimated pricing, estimated production timing, and the next step required to convert a reservation into an order. The Production Confirmation notice will provide a reasonable response period and specify the deadline for confirming or cancelling your reservation. No further charges will occur before that notice is sent and you have had the opportunity to confirm or cancel.
What this deposit is not
The Founder Reservation is a refundable deposit only. It is not a preorder, a purchase commitment, or a guarantee of delivery at any specific time or price. The deposit holds your place and signals genuine demand — nothing more until Production Confirmation.
Payment processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. If you experience any payment issue, contact marcus@takemantle.com.

Who operates this site
This website and the M∆NTLE Founder Reservation are operated by 16442641 Canada Inc. under the M∆NTLE brand ("we", "us"). By using this site or placing a reservation, you agree to these terms.
Nature of the reservation
Placing a Founder Reservation means you are paying a $5 CAD refundable deposit to reserve priority access to a potential first production run. It does not constitute a purchase, a preorder, or a guarantee of delivery at any specific time or price. Reservations will not automatically convert into paid orders.
Final product specifications, pricing, materials, and production timing will be confirmed separately via Production Confirmation. Reservation holders will be notified and given the opportunity to confirm or cancel before any further charges occur.
Product descriptions and specifications
Product images, renderings, prototypes, descriptions, features, materials, dimensions, pricing, and timelines shown on this site are preliminary and subject to change before production. Nothing on this site should be treated as a final production specification unless expressly confirmed in a Production Confirmation notice.
Final pricing may not include applicable taxes, shipping, duties, or other charges unless expressly stated in the Production Confirmation notice.
Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to place a reservation. The site is intended for use by individuals, not resellers.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise noted, the content on this site — including the M∆NTLE name, wordmark, product imagery, and copy — is owned by or licensed to 16442641 Canada Inc. and may not be reproduced or used without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 16442641 Canada Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or placement of a reservation. Where permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a Founder Reservation is limited to the amount paid for that reservation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Manitoba. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer protection rights that may apply in your jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product develops. Material changes will be communicated to reservation holders by email.

Privacy Policy
What we collect
When you place a reservation, we collect your email address and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details). If analytics tools are enabled on the site, we may also collect limited technical and usage information, such as page views, referral source, device and browser type, approximate location, and interaction events. We use this to understand site performance and improve the reservation experience.
How we use it
Your email is used to send your reservation confirmation, refund notices, Production Confirmation notices, and other notices necessary to administer your reservation. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Email communications
By placing a reservation, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your reservation, including confirmation, refund notices, Production Confirmation notices, and other notices necessary to administer your reservation. You may separately opt in to receive marketing and product update emails about M∆NTLE. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
Third-party services
We use Stripe for payment processing. Their privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. If additional analytics or advertising tools are enabled on the site (such as Meta Pixel or Google Analytics), this policy will be updated to name them specifically. This site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third-party sites.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfil your reservation and comply with legal obligations. If you request a refund and cancellation, your data will be retained only as required for financial record-keeping.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing marcus@takemantle.com. If you are located in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR.
